Can I have a hairstyle booking without a trial?

Yes you can, however, for Wanaka brides, it is highly recommended to ensure you will be 100% happy with the final look. You can try out more than one look in the trial to see what suits you best. There may not be time to change it on the day and it is hard to get the finish nice when it’s been undone and re-done. You will be charged for 2 hair-ups if you change your mind on the day and have it restyled. It’s good for the hair stylist to get the feel of your hair and what works best for hold and shape by having styled it before the big occasion.

Can I have a trial before booking your hair or makeup services?

Yes, you can have a hair trial or makeup trial prior to booking.

What’s your minimum hairstyles/makeup per booking

There is no minimum. We want to ensure that you receive the perfect hair or makeup for your wedding day so are happy to accommodate your individual needs.

How long before my wedding should I have my trial?

Any time is ok, a few weeks before is best so the hair hasn’t changed in length or condition too much.

Do you offer a touch-up or second-look service?

Yes, however, there is a charge of $100 per hour of wait/touch-up time.

How long should we allow for services?

The timing is on the service page. Plus allow 30 minutes for set up/ pack down time.

How should we work out our start time for the day?

Once you know either what time your photographer will be arriving, or what time you will be leaving, we can work backwards from there to schedule your start time. It’s ok if hairstylists and makeup artists start at separate times, we are all different in the way we work but experienced in working together to achieve your goal.

What styles would you recommend I get hair extensions for?

Depending on your hair type, thickness and the way it holds will determine this exactly. Please send me pictures of your hair and we can discuss if this is right for you.

Are there specific extensions you recommend?

Yes, I love halo hair extensions for waves out. And clip-ins for hair ups and buns. Keep in mind these often need to be colour matched and cut into the style which will incur an extra charge.
